Battalion Italian Restaurant | San Antonio, Texas

Finally got to try Battalion in San Antonio, TX, and it was absolutely worth the wait!

It's usually packed whenever we're nearby and hoping to stop in, so this time we planned ahead and made a reservation through OpenTable since we knew we'd be downtown for work. It was the best decision because the food, the ambiance, the service, and everything were fantastic.

Battalion's menu is family-style, so we shared the bread service with whipped ricotta, the cacio e pepe pasta, the chicken parmesan, and a side of grilled broccoli served over hummus and topped with herbed breadcrumbs.

Everything was delicious after a long day, but we also had plenty of leftovers to bring home. We also grabbed a slice of tiramisu to go, which was the perfect late-night treat.
