Dream and Build a Life That Makes Room For Every Part of You
I've struggled a lot when people would say, "find a niche" or "pick one thing." But I've since learned that I'm very fortunate to be passionate about many things, and I'm even more fortunate that I took an interest in learning a range of skills. That, in fact, you don't have to choose one dream, and you can build a life that makes room for every part of you.
A-Game Creations was born from a lifetime of helping others and creating. The very first freelance gig I ever had was in 2006, while I was still a kid. Coincidentally enough, it was also the year I started my first YouTube channel. From there, I continued freelancing on and off as my schedule allowed, all through having graduated from high school and college, climbing the corporate ladder, and beyond.
I helped others with my creative skills because it gave me a fun and fulfilling outlet, the majority of the time, for free. It wasn't until 2017 that I left the corporate world and started freelancing full-time, eventually evolving into a small business owner.
Throughout this journey, I've made thousands of creative assets: videos, graphics, websites, and more, which have resulted in a great portfolio of creations. Whether it was for myself, my family, my community, or for clients, it's something I'm super proud of. While we could simply share the work we've done for clients to amplify our business, we intentionally chose not to reshare these assets because they were originally created for them to help promote their endeavors.
Instead, I took an approach to sharing my own multi-passionate creative entrepreneurial journey more personably.
We help our clients create and share timely content every single day, but despite consistently documenting my journey, sharing it publicly has been an entirely different beast. It's an odd juxtaposition I've been dealing with. But I intend to take up space, share my journey, and continue doing whatever I can to help others, because it gives me purpose while also supporting myself and my loved ones.
In a lot of ways, it feels like I'm just still getting started as I continue to make more space for every part of me and remember that it’s perfectly okay to exist in that space.
