It’s Okay If You Don’t Have It All Figured Out
I’ve always had a passion for creating and documenting my journey.
In fact I started writing in a diary in 2003 to help process my feelings about life and have not stopped to this day.
As I got older the cute diaries I wrote in by hand turned into multi-purpose journals that I would decorate, write and draw in, add collages to, and more. Eventually it got more digital, and I started typing out my thoughts every day, organizing photos without having to print them out, and even started vlogging by 2006 when I created my first YouTube channel just one year after the platform launched.
2006 was also the year I volunteered to make a website for a nonprofit for the first time for free. It was a purposeful summer project after I taught myself how to create websites for fun because I wanted my own someday.
My love for creating only grew from there. From writing, drawing, graphic design, creating videos, audio editing, and so much more, it was all very passion driven and self-taught as I helped my family, friends, and community.
As technology has advanced, I’ve done my best to teach myself and stay up to date with my passions including new social media platforms.
Eventually, when I decided to leave the corporate world in 2017, I turned something I had been doing for free throughout my life to help others into a career that fits who I am.
It takes a lot of discipline and creativity, but the best part of entrepreneurship is that it grows with you.
Today, I’m in a better place in so many ways because I trusted myself and took the time to learn and grow sustainability and organically.
I truly believe anyone can take the leap, at any age, if they are determined. So if you haven't already, start making moves to live your life the way you want. It’s okay if you don’t have it all figured out. Everything will fall into place with time.
