Happy 100th Anniversary Winnie-the-Pooh!
Today marks the 100th anniversary of the first appearance of Winnie-the-Pooh when the character was first featured in the short story The Wrong Sort of Bees published in the newspaper London Evening News on December 24th, 1925.
We had the opportunity to see the original Winnie-the-Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Kanga, and Eeyore stuffed animals that belonged to A.A. Milne's son, Christopher Robin Milne, when it was on display as part of the Polonsky Exhibition of the New York Public Library's Treasures.
These stuffed animals became the inspiration behind the characters and the many adventures we've seen through books, movies, shows, and beyond. Winnie-the-Pooh was a big part of my childhood that absolutely impacted my creative journey and I’ll forever be grateful for it being a part of my life.
